NEW! The Energy Cities’ best practice database has been revamped

By Blandine Pidoux on 29 October 2015

Energy Cities now has a completely new interface for its best practice database. Entirely revamped and updated, it highlights the vitality of European cities’ action in the field of energy and climate policies.

More content

Discover about 500 examples illustrating all energy transition aspects in Europe: local resources, energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, governance, social innovation, financing ... and, coming soon, a whole new series of best practices on urban farming!

Access to content has been made easier by adding a new set of more accurate keywords, better attuned to current energy transition themes such as the circular economy or urban ecologistics.

More images and improved ergonomics

Detailed information illustrated with beautiful visuals and fluid, instinctive browsing: all has been designed to make you want to take a European local energy transition tour. Discover innovative cities, give your opinion and share your favourite examples on social media!

More meaning

For those of you who want to go deeper, our best practice database is now linked to our “Proposals for the energy transition of cities and towns”. Their contents, both practical and theoretical, intersect and feed one another.

From the multitude of measures taken every day at the local level – where our members strive to develop future-oriented solutions – to a shared vision of the low energy city with a high quality of life for all – where national and European policies can be influenced - Energy Cities is more than ever the European network of local authorities in energy transition.
